Craig Nees -
Director
Craig was born into the hardware industry. The Nees family have been involved in hardware in Wellington for five generations so "it's in the blood". Originally in retail Craig set up International Merchants in 1993. Craig recognised the great potential for composite decking and through International Merchants imported product from Canada. In April 2008 Permadeck International Ltd. commenced trading as a specialist decking company and has since supplied many thousands of metres of decking to satisfied customers. "We are constantly reviewing what we are doing and looking to learn and improve as the market develops" says Craig "we are focused on providing an outstanding product with outstanding service from start to finish and delivering outstanding value to our customers". Craig's interests are his much beloved and growing family, making more time to play golf, keeping fit by running and maintaining his lifestyle property - always being sure to maintain hydration with a good brew!
James Mollison -
Director
James has had a very varied career. After 11 years as a British Army Infantry Officer James retired as a Major and emigrated to New Zealand with his Kiwi wife Margaret in 1991. After 11 years in Auckland largely involved in wholesale food businesses James and his family of five moved to Tauranga "because we could". James purchased, ran and grew New Zealand Wheelbarrows from 2005 until 2010 when he sold to a key supplier. Having met Craig Nees whilst owning NZ Wheelbarrows James became a director of Permadeck in September 2010. Inspired by the opportunity to work with a great product James has hit the ground running and is "thoroughly enjoying the challenge of developing the composite decking market with the best product range by a country mile. I am loving the range of work from the 950 sq.m at the Auckland Viaduct Events Centre to the 3 sq.m deck in Waihi and everything in between. It is all about working with people to understand their needs and desires and delivering great service". The work life balance is always a juggle but sailing, swimming and cycling are great releases. I also thrive on being involved with my children's curricular and extra curricular activities.

Phil Dwane -
Warehouse Manager
Phil is a vital member of our team. As an experienced builder he has a wealth of great practical skill and experience and is a great sounding board for ideas A significant challenge with anything as long and bulky as decking planks is the handling, freighting and storage. Phil takes great pride in the neat, tidy and safe packing of all stock and his communication is excellent. All goods dispatched from the warehouse are packed meticulously and all involved in the freighting and receiving of goods are kept informed of dispatch and progress. The only thing Phil takes more care of than his warehouse stock is his beloved Harley Davidson. No one needs to ask where Phil is when the weather is good you just need to listen out for the throaty roar.
We are all backed up by a great sales team based in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and our accounts and administration team who keep us all honest.
Chris Connor - Northern Area Manager.
